Commissioned by Edwin and directed by Hong-Bin Chen, with creative strategy by Let’s Create, this project was a massive collaborative effort.
SDDS FILM served as the lead VFX studio, going beyond the role of a traditional post-house to drive the core visual production. We worked closely with Art Director Johnny Chen, the camera and lighting crews, and partner vendors SOLVFX and MagmArt to bring this vision to life.
We utilized Karma XPU for rendering and Material X for shading. The project demanded the precise synchronization and integration of live-action footage, multi-vendor CG assets, and 4Dview volumetric data (specifically Alembic files and texture sequences). Complex compositing was executed in The Foundry Nuke within an ACES color pipeline, where we also deployed the deep learning tool CopyCat to assist with rotoscoping. Finally, Notion served as our central hub for coordinating schedules and assets across all partners.
The EDWIN Denimverse served as the cornerstone of our transition from SDDS FILM to AAIC. As a testament to our core belief—"We made the impossible visible"—this project proved our ability to apply cinematic techniques to commercial work. Crucially, it established the workflow standards that now drive our immersive development, laying the groundwork for the high fidelity and high-performance real-time rendering we champion in VR today.
