Collaboration: Working alongside Hydra VFX, we delivered the final project within a tight three-week window.
Hero Asset: We rapidly designed and modeled the director's unique concept—an egg-shaped spaceship.
Environment & Vehicles: We also created a full CG helicopter and executed extensive replacements for street traffic and background architecture.
Complex Surface Geometry: The most challenging aspect of the egg-shaped spaceship was its hull, which featured a triangular tessellation reminiscent of Issey Miyake’s iconic designs.
Technical Solution: To generate this specific intricate structure, we implemented a highly complex procedural workflow in Houdini.
To meet critical deadlines, we utilized a procedural Houdini workflow to solve the complex "Egg Spaceship" geometry. Our team simultaneously delivered a CG helicopter and extensive environment replacements, rapidly bringing the director's unique vision to life.
